www.debate.com.np is an online platform for holding discussions and debates on topics of various categories such as philosophy, politics, economics, social values and norms, religion and cultures, life style, history, environment, movies and visual arts and not to forgot the contemporary issues. Most of the discussions are in Nepalese context. However, many universal debate topics have also been included. Debates take place in both Nepali and English Languages.
www.debate.com.np is run by a group of Nepalese youth with the primary objective of encouraging Nepalese youth to engage in healthy debates and discussions so that they can have a better understanding of the issues and are open to different ideas and perspectives. The group also plans to introduce various other programs to encourage healthy debate culture in Nepalese youngsters namely debate newsletter, debate trainings, debate resources in local languages, debate contests in near future.
